The UEC English Test is a standardized English test for the Unified Examination for Independent Chinese Secondary Schools, Malaysia. Below is the format of the test.

The materials are designed:

• To familiarize students with the format of both papers
• To focus on skills and strategies needed to tackle the different sections of the test
  
  – to provide intensive revision of and practice in writing in the relevant modes tested in composition and letter-writing
  
  – to help students understand and revise relevant grammar structures and sentence patterns to successfully tackle the cloze and structure and usage sections of the test
  
  – to train students to apply the relevant reading skills to tackle the reading comprehension section of the test
• To focus on skills and strategies to optimise performance on the test
