Alor Star, November 10th - Keat Hwa Chinese Independent School is moving with the time. Starting from the next new academic year, every student will have the opportunity to happily learn English in a well equipped learning environment.
After Pin Hwa in Klang, Pay Fong in Malacca, Tsun Jin in KL, Shen Jai in Ipoh, Jit Sin in Bukit Mertajam and Han Jiang in Penang which all have established their respective English Language Centres, Keat Hwa Chinese Independent School has become the seventh Chinese independent school to have this kind of learning environment with modern advanced equipment.
Keat Hwa Chinese Independent School Principal, Tam Hak Hooi (Hanyu Pinyin), pointed out that the traditional way of teaching is comparatively unidirectional, whereas Just English programme is a two-way flow method of teaching and learning that enables students to learn with good results.
He said each student needs to pay only fifty ringgit a month to defray the school’s electricity expenses and license fee.
He pointed out that teachers with good command of English are difficult to recruit, but the school is not facing this problem yet; at present, there are sufficient teachers. Moreover, Just English will continuously train our teachers as part of our collaboration.
He said the special teaching features of Just English include streaming students based on their level of English proficiency, small class size giving students greater opportunity to learn, ten English periods a week, the school utilising modern multimedia teaching advantage that helps students increase their learning interest and effectiveness through practice on the computers, and etc.
